New Industrial Bakery Mountaintop, PA

A new 148,000 square foot shell building was available in an industrial park location attractive to Mission Foods (a subsidiary of Grumma Corporation,) for a new Northeastern U.S. location for a tortilla bakery and distributorship. This large food processing plant included 23,000 square feet of office area and employee locker rooms, 125,000 square feet of production and product storage area, and 26,000 square feet of freezers. The tortilla production lines incorporate both flour and corn based tortilla shells, as well as hard taco shells. The proprietary recipes require rapid firing of baking ovens and rapid cooling of the product in in-line glycol-system based freezers. WKL produced 80% complete drawings in 60 days for this fast track $7M project.
