Early Learning Center Wilkes-Barre, PA 2009Designed for 144 children, this early learning center follows industry guidelines and design principles established by NAEYC, the National Association for the Education of Young children. The facility is one of over 30 NAEYC accredited centers in the northeastern U.S. managed by the operator, a company based in NEPA.
From the classrooms to the child restroom facilities, from the warming kitchen to the children’s outdoor play area, from the wireless internet service to the security systems, all aspects of the facility are carefully designed to meet PA Dept. of Public Welfare regulations and most current industry standards.
WKL Architecture consulted with this childcare operator on the preparation of a comprehensive 50-page Space and Functional Programming document for a similar learning center facility at Princeton University in 2008.
